by a lender- such as a bank, credit union or mortgage
banker.

be fooled by a mortgage broker's "pre-qualification
letter," which means absolutely nothing. Only
after you have a letter of "Pre-approval"
from a lender will you know for sure what price property
you can afford to buy. That letter also "locks
in" your interest rate - guaranteeing you the
